I have worked as an acupuncturist since 2001. My clinical work is now solely with children. I am the author of two books on paediatric acupuncture, one a text book for practitioners and the other a book for parents on how Chinese medicine can help children achieve resilient mental-emotional health. I teach paediatric acupuncture in the UK and internationally.
I am the founder of The Little Health Hub and The Little Acupuncture Room. I have seen over many years the enormous, and sometimes miraculous, benefits that acupuncture can have for children. I have a range of different non-needles techniques up my sleeve for those children who are not happy being treated with needles.

I am originally from Brazil. After moving to the UK, I worked for many years in the corporate environment. Subsequent to experiencing the profound benefits of acupuncture, I was drawn to studying this ancient system of medicine.
I gained a BSc (Hons) and a license to practice Acupuncture (LicAc) from the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in England. The college integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element Traditional Acupuncture. I am also a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
I became interested in paediatrics after treating many parents whose children were experiencing typical childhood illnesses and were only offered orthodox treatments, which in some cases led to unpleasant side effects. For this reason, I have decided to undertake Post Graduate training in Paediatric Acupuncture so I could also offer the benefits of acupuncture to children and adolescents.

I have a long term interest in complementary medicine and in treating children. I completed a degree in Chinese Medicine and acupuncture and a post graduate diploma in paediatric acupuncture. I treat both adults and children. I have three teenage children of my own, all of whom have benefited from acupuncture.
I am aware of the many issues and challenges that children today face. I am used to treating children without the use of acupuncture needles.

I live in East Oxford with my young family. I have been practicing acupuncture since 2008 and run a busy acupuncture practice from my home in Oxford, as well as a multi-disciplinary practice in Witney and a GP practice in the centre of Oxford.
I decided to train as an acupuncturist after having regular acupuncture myself from a very young age and realising its effectiveness.
I trained at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York. I received a license to practice in2008. CPD is an important part of my practice and I regularly undertake advanced courses to deepen my understanding. This has included completing a year-long diploma in paediatric acupuncture. I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council, the Acupuncture Childbirth Team and The Little Health Hub, Oxford.

I qualified with a BSc. (Hons) in Acupuncture from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading where I also completed a diploma in paediatric acupuncture. I practice both 5 element and traditional Chinese medicine, blending both approaches. I formerly worked for many years as a nurse and senior midwife in the NHS, and it was while working in Vietnam that I discovered acupuncture. The concept of treating a person as a whole, rather than simply treating symptoms, was the catalyst for my decision to train as an acupuncturist.
When I am not working, I enjoy walking with my husband and dogs, Rolo and Skipper, reading fiction and spending time with my teens, family and friends.

My first experience of acupuncture was as a child when I attended an appointment with my wonderful Dad many years ago. I knew back then it was something special, and this has stayed with me ever since, now shaping my work as an acupuncture practitioner with a special interest in children’s treatment. My home clinic is in Surrey, I also work as a practical skills tutor at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, where I and many of my colleges trained.
I believe Chinese Medicine offers a gentle and powerful treatment option for all the family, and I’m thrilled to be working with such a talented and experienced team of practitioners at the Little Acupuncture Room.
