At The Little Acupuncture Room, we welcome practitioner and student observers. We believe that if more people have the opportunity to witness paediatric practice first hand, more will choose to treat children themselves.
PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE EMAILING TO BOOK YOUR SLOT
Days and times
The Little Acupuncture Room is open on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
At the moment, we recommend you book your observations for a Saturday as they are currently busier than Tuesdays. We are confident that within a few months, Tuesdays will be equally busy too.
If you are coming on a Saturday, please arrive by 8.45am. The session begins at 9am and ends at 1pm.
If you are coming on a Tuesday, please arrive by 1.45pm. The session begins at 2pm and ends at 6pm.
We kindly ask all observers to make a donation to The Little Acupuncture Room. We provide low cost treatment to children from families who otherwise would not be able to afford it. Your donations help us to continue treating these children.
We suggest a donation of £35 for one observation session, but please feel free to donate whatever you can afford.
However, we want to stress that a donation is entirely voluntary and if you are not in a position to donate, we will still welcome you to come and observe.
When you book in your observation slot, you will receive details of how to make your donation.
We ask that all observers do a lateral flow test on the day they are due to observe.
Please notify us immediately if you test positive or have any possible covid symptoms and we will be happy to rearrange your observations.
While observing, we ask that you wear a mask at all times, and sanitise your hands before and after any interaction with a patient or their parent.
The Little Acupuncture Room is located inside the Little Health Hub at the West Oxford Community Association (WOCA).
Oxford, OX2 0BT
The WOCA building is set back from the road, directly opposite St Frideswide Church. If you are coming towards Oxford city centre, it is shortly after Waitrose on the left-hand side of the road.
